First 5-10 minutes of each Academic Lab class
Repeat this process (updating agenda and creating a work plan) each night after school just before you start your homework and then once more during the weekend.
1. Have only your planner, ipad, and pen/pencil out and ready to use.
2. Label all class titles as far out as possible.
Before you get started with viewing your class websites and updating your agenda, remember these routines:
3. The first 2 class websites you view from your screen and update in your agenda should be the 2 classes you will not meet with today or did not meet with today.
4. Repeat for your remaining 5 classes (the classes you meet with today) following the same routine:

Due to the nature of our class, there are times when everyone is not doing the same activity at the same time, and times when individual work is being completed but you are not given specific direction from a teacher about what to do next.
When this is the case, here are the directions for what you should be doing for the remainder of class:

- Include the assignment, due date, and estimated time for completion for each assignment in each class you meet with today.
- Carry over assignments from yesterday’s classes if they will not be handed in today
- If you see a date announced for a quiz, test, or long term project
- Go straight to the date the assessment or project is due and write in the announcement for the test on that day. Examples: “Ch1 Test Today,” “Vocab Quiz Today,” “Project Due Today.”
- Then, highlight the announcement you just wrote into your agenda
- Finally, turn back to today’s date and include study time or work time on tonight’s agenda and on each day’s agenda until the night before the assessment date/due date

- If you do not meet with the class that day, include the subject, assignment, and due date in your work plan for tonight.
- If it isn’t due tomorrow and you don’t have time to do it tonight, then include it in the next day’s agenda

- View the next Google Classroom Stream, update your agenda

- Check your Strategies Lab folder to see if you have a test, quiz, or other assignment to finish.
- Follow through with completing your tasks from your agenda and prioritized work plan.
- If you have work that you may run into trouble on and need help understanding - that work should be a top priority while you are in school and have access to help from a teacher.
- Ask for help if you need it.
